I have used Sound Smith for four different cartridges.The most recent is my Koetsu Rosewood Signature MC cartridge. Like the others, I received my unit back approximately 8 weeks later. It is mounted on my Goldmund Studietto table. the rest of my equipment is very much high end. Here is my point...... for the 4th time in 3 years, a cleaning person,"dusting" in an area that they should not be near, snapped off the cantilever, as if it was never there. ....Now my cartridge, as well as all the others, are no longer Koetsu, they are Moving Coil Sound-Smith cartridges.Since the tip and its' arm are the only things that physically extract the signal from the vinyl, the magnets and coils can be the best in history, I still no longer am listening to a Koetsu cartridge. Does it sound great ? I think it does. Im totally happy with Peters' work.Every time, he does great work. I have never had the patience to send a cartridge back to Japan or Germany, to have the actual manufacturer rebuild my cartridge.
