New from Conrad-Johnson, the ART108A Class A, mono-block power amplifier. Four pairs of triode-connected KT88 output tubes produce a rated power of 160 Watts. Separate regulated power supplies for each stage, including one for the KT88 output stage. The ART108A boasts extensive use of CJD Teflon capacitors, bulk metal foil resistors, and custom designed wide-band audio output transformers. In production now.

    Hey Myles,

Long time...fantastic news! I see that we both have moved away from CJ...for me after 21 consecutive years or so! Imagine that. Frankly, given what Jeff has been up to lately, I could easily slide right back into the CJ seat. Hope your new Goldmunds are doing well.

Very cool product and direction for Conrad Johnson
-it would be interesting to compare the new ART 108A to the ART300
-New ART108 is giving up some power to the ART300
-Having 160 watts of Class A power, it should have a little more current & pure sound then ART300
-CJ has always been very musical(top to bottom) with great soundstage and awesome midrange.
-it will be interesting if the class A power will have more drive & foundational bass.
-could be an awesome amp for reasonably efficient speakers(88 or 89 db and up)
        -only negative is $48k price
-the cost of quality tunes is definitely on the rise!
