Alex-It's time for me to review something analog for a switch (no digital pun intended, but it's still pretty good).Micro Seiki SX-8000 table with flywheel, SME 3012R arm, SME 312S arm, Lyra Etna SL and Dynavector XV-1S cartridges, ARC Ref 3 phono stage, Otari MX-55 tape deck, Ampex 350 repros, Roon Nucleus Plus server, PS Audio DSJ DAC, ARC Ref 6 pre, ARC Ref 75 amp, Parasound JC5 amp, JBL 4345 speakers, and Def Tech Ref subs.

I hear ya... All these new cartridges out there, lots going on in analogland that needs coverage!
Just thought the PS Audio might be your "number", as it's DSD-based, and IIRC, you have a preference for that lovingly smooth DSD sound
cheers,
alex

Hi Marty,
I am impressed with the DirectStream...a very big improvement over the PW Mk2. I have about 200 hours on it so far. I have read it takes close to 500 for complete break-in. For the money, it's hard to beat.

I received an email from Bill Leebens from PS Audio to tell me about the new DAC so I responded and told him I was interested in reviewing it. Bill responded back and said David Robinson gets the first crack at it for PFO.Micro Seiki SX-8000 table with flywheel, SME 3012R arm, SME 312S arm, Lyra Etna SL and Dynavector XV-1S cartridges, ARC Ref 3 phono stage, Otari MX-55 tape deck, Ampex 350 repros, Roon Nucleus Plus server, PS Audio DSJ DAC, ARC Ref 6 pre, ARC Ref 75 amp, Parasound JC5 amp, JBL 4345 speakers, and Def Tech Ref subs.

That about as bad as having your chair taken out from under you by Myles.
