This is my personal unbiased view/opinion after spending just a quick few minutes out of my rather busy schedule to visit other rooms.

I am not sure I had visited every single rooms during TAVES but I did try to at least poke my head to see if anything sounded interesting to me.

        Good Surprise:
Totem Sky loudspeaker at $CAD1850/pair is a tremendous value.
Great sound at a small price.

        As Expected:
        Magico S5MKII, US$42,750.
As I'd have expected from Myles' comments since he has these, they are clean, detailed, & natural sounding.
It was somewhat a surprise to me since the only other offer from Magico that I like was/is their Q7.
        Good choice Myles.

        Not Impressed:
I accidentally stumbled onto Kef/VPI room where they had their big Muon MKII speakers, $US225,000/pair.
I was not sure if it's the room or something else but the sound was abysmal, to say the least.
It might also due to the song they played when I was in the room.
Bottom line is a lot of money for not so good sound.

Good Surprise at a Hefty Price:
I walked into the Wynn Audio room without any expectations and was rather pulled into the music with their Tidal Sunrays, $CAD180,000/pair.

Good Surprise at a less than hefty price:
Muraudio was showing their Domain Omni PX2, $US79,500/pair.
        Excellent soundstage.

After my visit to those and the other rooms, I came back to our own ACA room and I just can't stop smiling while listening to our Seraphim Prime at US$22,000.
I can state without any uncertainty the only competitor that might come close to our Seraphim Prime is indeed the S5MKII from Magico.
Having said that, at almost half the price of the S5, our Prime is a much better valued choice.

Is this the replacement for the Model One? I know Totem fans were up in arms about the discontinuation of that long-standing speaker.

I'm a Totem fan. I had some Sttafs, Mites and Mite-T in my MCH HT setup.

            Yes, it is.

It is a real surprise to me as to how good it sounded.
I was rather not impressed with their Model One, OTOH.

ACA Seraphim Prime as One of The Best, per Stereophile.

How often do you find that a new model of a loudspeaker or other audio component is less expensive than the one it replaces? I'd say "Not often." But that was the case with the ACA Seraphim loudspeaker. At last year's TAVES, there was a demo of the ACA Seraphim Skogrand Edition speakers, priced at $US45,000/pair; this year, they had the new Seraphim Prime, shown in the photo above, which is said to represent ACA's latest thinking in speaker design—at just $US22,000/pair.

Tidal almost always seems to get good sound at shows. Even their lesser priced speakers that aren't on the other hand, cheap either. Not sure if that's the setup guys (was Doug White showing the speakers or is there a different Canadian distributor) or because the speakers have a high degree of integrability into different rooms (and interesting point rarely brought out).

It was rather extremely busy for us and we are at the very end of the floor.
I personally didn't have a chance to have lunch during the show.

My guess is it's decently large show.
They outgrew their last location so this year they had to have 2 hotels, Sheraton & Best Western, together.

Traffic was terrific and interests was really good.

                      We'll be back next year.
