Is something like this really needed Myles? Or is it one of those accessories for the uber committed to vinyl?
Dynavector DV20x2L MC cartridge - Genesis G7.1f speakers - Marantz Reference PM-KI-Pearl Int. Amp. - Oracle Audio Paris MkV turntable - Various Morrow & Valab/King cables

I have the older model it works and it helps some LPs more than others but it does help. And no I am not getting into prove it debate.

John, I haven't heard the Furutech but remember Hobson went to the clarity vinyl for exactly this same reason. In fact, one thing that I never saw anyone do is see if the Furutech demag made a difference with the Clarity vinyl. Now is it worth the price is another story.

I did review the Bedini Clarifier for CDs though 20 years ago and here's a quote from that review that appears on that website:

The Audio Adventure - December 1995 Volume 2 Issue 12
"The Bedini Ultra Clarifier sets a new benchmark for degree of sound improvement. You owe it to yourself to get this product if you listen to digital. Otherwise, you haven't heard your discs." - Myles B. Astor
Don't ask me why; but the differences before and after Rx were unmistakable.

Where does it fit into the scheme of record playing? Certainly cleaning is the most important factor and this is gilding on the lily.

No need to prove here Garth but I am curious is there any rhyme or reason to which albums it helps more than others? Of course, different records are made with different vinyl formulations. Is it perhaps, dependent upon the label or just seemingly random?

The records that have been played a lot seem to be the ones that benefit the most. I can always hear a difference not sure what it does exactly but static is gone blacker backgrounds more space between instruments . The price is relative to the rest of your gear I can not see buying this and spending half that amount on the TT set up but that is just of the cuff never tried it. It is not a hoax but it is out their you can always tell people Oh the arm is out for repair. Most people think washing records is nuts I always wonder what else they own for forty year that they have never cleaned.

Well, it's a different color from mine. I enjoy mine, and I've never demoed it to anybody who couldn't hear the difference. I think it makes a bigger difference the thicker the LP.
