Stumbled across here by accident today, didn't know the forum existed and well here I am.
I am from the UK, been involved in the audio industry - retail side - for many years but currently semi retired, I work a few days a week in a used bookshop, write reviews for my own online mag/blog. Life's thrown me a few difficult curve balls last few years, but I am getting my head above water again - finally.
My own systems include analogue frontends, turntable, tape and FM radio, with digital being CD, SACD, DVDA (yes still play these) and file based via a PC + DAC, a Pi2 and Music Server. I prefer physical media to file based but being gifted a 3TB HD of HD tracks, vinyl rips and HD studio masters a few years ago set me of trying to unlock their content, often with great frustration. Amplification is valve based.
Music wise I love Melodic Rock, AOR, Progrock, Jazz, Electronica and Dance, some Classical. I also like some contemporary pop music, female and male singer songwriters. I can't stand country, not a big fan of folk music either. ,
Looking forward to seeing the forum develop and grow.
Regards Neil
