Hello from Utah
I joined this group sometime ago, then typically forgot about it. Glad I'm taking the time to wander around this afternoon. I'm especially pleased to see so many musicians involved!
My name's Jim (the nickname is supposed to be ironic). I'm about to turn 60 and live in Salt Lake City. I've been an avid music lover and audio nut since my early teens (I was the only person in my small hometown who owned an 8-track recorder!). Most of my years were spent working in cable TV and radio, including a dozen as jazz host at KUER-FM, which has since, sadly, dropped its music programming. My music tastes revolve around classical, rock (including prog, classic and current indie) and, of course, jazz. I have two audio systems, the primary one comprising a VPI Classic 2 turntable, Oppo universal disc player and headphone amp, Parasound pre- and power amps, and Athena loudspeakers.
Looking forward to digging deeper in here.
