  • Hi from 98087 Wa. State

A few months ago I was googling this or that when I noticed a link called 'Audionirvana'. Intrigued, I clicked the link and was welcomed with the phrase; "You've finally found audio nirvana". It was like a drink of cool spring water after a hot afternoon in the desert. It is a great name for an audio forum. And now, after lurking about here for a few months, I'd like to introduce myself.
I am Steve Clarke. I go by the moniker user510. I reside in an apartment in a burb north of Seattle, and just south of Everett, Washington.
My audio interests are oriented toward vinyl replay. I really like some the better (and still affordable) vintage turntables and tend to keep a few ready to work. Thorens is a name I favor for vintage turntables. And I like others too.
My system list is modest. Audio on a budget.

above photo: from the listening chair.

    Speakers: NHT 2.9
    Integrated amp: Classe CAP 151
turntables: Thorens TD124 with Graham 2.2 tonearm with Shelter 501-II mc cartridge
turntables: Thorens TD126 mkIII with Zeta tonearm with Denon DL-103R in UWE ebony body
phono stage: built-in mm/mc in the Classe' integrated amp.
    CD player: Jolida JD100
    CD recorder: Alesis Masterlink ML9600
Open Reel Tape: Otari MX-5050 BII 2
    isolation: Minus-K 150 BM-1
    and some other stuff;-)

Thanks very much for the welcome!
Yes, Minus-k.......seismic isolation from footfalls and slamming doors etc. I'm third story with a trampoline floor. It really makes a difference. The TT remains unperturbed and just has to deal with tracking the groove. No external forces acting upon the stylus/groove interface. The TT sounds a tad better as well.
          Nice forum.

ah...that's south end. Some industry in there. I've spent some time perusing the goods at WoodCraft. And I've bought some lead plate at Non-Ferrous Metals in that area.
