  • why do I follow that Myles guy and whats with the new forum...

My new handle is just my name "Rob" aka puroagave. I hope this is Myle's last stop because i'm an admitted groupie of his and its getting to be a chore to keep up, I see other familiar posters/members who's interest match mine. This will be fun...

Thanks Rob and welcome aboard! Still waiting for you to get your Versa and tape machine up and running. The suspense is killing me!

me too! I thought i was set until it was pointed out the Aria i had was optimized for ATR heads and not what I'm using. A collector and well known 'phile and tape head in San Diego recently acquired it from me, I made a friend in the process and look forward to hearing his rig. i should have my rig running in a few more weeks. As for the Versa' its like owning a '62 Ferrari GTO in need of a steering rack, brakes, shocks and misc ancillaries, it will get done when I source the missing bits that fortunately are mostly off the self.

And I hope to reward everyone's friendship, faith and trust with the best high-end audio board on the net! It will take time but Rome wasn't built in a day!

In spite of your self-effacement, you've already attracted a membership of some of the most experienced/knowledgeable audiophiles that roam the net. I'm sure I'll keep learning from all of them and yourself until this forum runs its course (hoping it never does). Like Jack says lets get crackin!!

I greatly appreciate everyone showing their support!!!

I think the other tie that binds everyone here together is we're all as much into their music as much as our gear. The gear is but a means to further enjoy our music. That happens when you put together as Mark might say, an ass whoopin' system. (And that doesn't mean expensive either.) The system disappears and you're left with music. I might be a board junkie but I've learned a lot of stuff from all the members too! If you think you've learned it all, it's time to get out of what you are doing and find a different occupation. All knowledge should do is create more questions.
