I've considered myself an audiophile since 1979 when I bought my first system with money earned by delivering newspapers. I'm not much into interconnects and speaker wire.
And, I'm not above using equalization or room correction for in my stereo only system. While I fondly remember the days when the LP was king, I'm strictly digital now. If vinyl and record stores ever return to their previous popularity, I'll go analogue, again. BTW, from experience, IMHO, if you invest in LPs and a turntable, then you should also invest in a vacuum assisted record cleaning machine such as a VPI, Nitty Gritty, or Okki Nokki, etc. .
When I'm not listening, I like to spend my spare time with my seven cats. As Albert Schweitzer said, "There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats."
