With a logo such as the one selected I figured music is going to play a big part on this forum. Please tell me this is so as I am a "music first" audiophile, but with an obvious passion on how to best deliver that. Music is the driving force of my passion for all things audiophile and I hope I can contribute in a meaningful way as AudioNirvana grows.
My main musical interests are rock, blues, live recordings, female vocals and acoustic folk/rock/blues.
I enjoy my music on an entry-level audiophile system that I've setup in an unfinished basement space of about 11x16ft. It's my little home away from home and despite it's bare-bones look, it brings me much pleasure. The gear I use to play my music with consists of the following:
Oracle Paris Mk.V turntable
Oracle/Pro-ject modified 9cc tonearm
Dynavector DV-20x2L moving coil cartridge
Pioneer RT-909 Reel-to-reel
Marantz Reference PM-KI-Pearl Integrated Amplifier
Genesis G7.1f loudspeakers
I use both a manual Spin-Clean and Nitty Gritty 2.5Fi RCM to keep my LPs ready for action.
That's about it!
JV
PS: I do play digital, but not on the main system, as I prefer to keep that fully analogue. This is just a preference and not a condemnation
