  • So glad to have found AUDIONIRVANA

I've been a music lover since the late 50's. My first system was built in the summer of 1959, an Eico kit 12Watt mono integrated, Stevens 8" bookshelf speaker, Heathkit FM Tuner and Garrard changer fitted with a GE cartridge. Will post my current systems in the proper forum soon. Listen to all types of music but Jazz, Blues and Reggae seem to spend the most time on my turntable.
Main System: VPI Prime, Ortofon Cadenza Bronze, Bob's Devices VPI SUT, Bottlehead Eros Phono-pre, Phoenix Eagle and Roadrunner Tach, Cambridge Azur Universal Disc Player, Apple Airport Express, Mytek Liberty DAC, PrimaLuna Prologue PreAmp and Monoblocks, Martin Logan Summit X's. Bottlehead Crack w. Speedball Headphone Amp, Sennheiser HD 650 Headphones.

Oh! Fixed that, but it might make for an interesting new Apple product. Google could counter with the Weedroid.

Love to hear more about Bob’s SUT. Did you replace the box on the back of the arm with the SUT?

Hi Miles, I'm delighted with Bob's VPI SUT. Yes it does replace the VPI terminal box mounted on the arm stand. The surgery required is very simple and Bob sends concise instructions. It's really an elegant solution, no additional interconnects, no need to find space on an already crowded rack. Only downside for some could be that it makes VPI's anti-skate mechanism unusable. That opens the forever ongoing VPI antiskate discussion. Btw, Bob is terrific, very accessible, very customer oriented and a VPI dealer. Mine is currently connected to the Bottlehead kit Eros phono-pre and I am very happy with the results. Some pics attached:
