We had a 6.6 tremor about an hour ago. People on the ground didn’t feel it. We are pretty high up so we felt our building sway. Do ya think it was from a tank on Pennsylvania ave?

Glad you’re okay. Looks like there’s been a bit of damage in Ridgecrest.

Thanks Myles. All good here. Just listening to my system produce it’s own fireworks.

We went out on the lake last night to watch fireworks from the water. My wife is involved with one of the rowing clubs here, which is a pretty serious place. They have a boat that is like a training mule for sweep rowers (I'm not a rower, but) that is really like a big plastic barge with slots along both sides for rowers. (The Roman with the drum can stand in the middle, on a raised platform).
It was a pretty nice experience (even though I'm not a rower). There were all sorts of absurd watercraft out there, stoners, people who had done up their boats --nothing too big allowed, and no motorboats except for a few that were really patrol boats. So, we listened to the symphony until dark, then came the fireworks. Here are two shots-- one of the dock area where this vintage fiberglass boat is moored- 'twas built in the early '50s here in Austin and this one is restored and running; also a night shot just before the fireworks.
