    Just found out that our good friend Bruce Brown is in Evergreen hospital (Seattle ICU) for a couple of days after being hit by a truck while riding his motorcycle. He's OK except for some broken ribs and pneumothorax but is in the ICU for the time being. Know everyone here is rooting for you to get home ASAP and eagerly a waiting for your newest tape transfers!

      That sounds serious. Riding is the best (I've never piloted aircraft) but stuff happens....
      hope he's on the mend and not in bad shape.

                Get well Bruce!

                My brother-in-law was laid up in the hospital for 6 months because of a motorcycle accident. He stopped riding after that for almost 40 years. Got back on one last year when he retired and treated himself to a Harley. Crazy bastard! :P

                  I have had a few bike mishaps over the years it is always a shock and you know who is going to come out the worst in the deal. Glad it went as well as it did best of luck

                      I had a deer hit my front wheel it went flying over my head I stayed up but used both sides of the road to do it . Two friends behind me said the deer was suspended in the air upside down as they went by. Killed the deer bike was still drivable but 3,500 for front end parts Harley custom Fat boy

                      Best wishes BRUCE . Get well soon. Ribs do stink when fractured or broken but you know this.
                      What happened to you was simaler to me going Almost 70 on the lie heading into NYC at 6 am. So after hitting the guardrail I heading back onto the highway imagine that. God graced me that day by the bike digging in and going back to the guardrale again. It's mostly never us but someone else . Do you teach staying ahead in your class ?

                          Get well soon Bruce! Cracked two ribs myself in a mountain bike wipeout a couple of years ago. Not easy to move the first few weeks. Make sure you do the deep breathing exercises and stretches when directed. It'll help the recovery to be successful and more complete.
