This may not appeal to everyone. 6 & 12 String Guitar is Leo Kottkes second release, 1969 on John Faheys Tacoma label. It is all instrumental.

I remember watching him on stage from about 15 feet in 1969 at a small college venue shortly before the release of the album. My guitar playing buddies and I were hypnotized by his technique, a sort of banjo finger picking with speed and precision on a open drop tuned 12 string. And of course none of us had ever heard anything like it. Went an bought my first acoustic twelve string shortly afterwards. Still have that guitar.

The album is on its 24th release or so and is widely available on LP.

I've heard it in the past, don't own a copy though.
