Always wondered what an original pressing of one of my favorite Wilson recordings Razzmatazz looked like. Found out tonight.

The original release didn't have a number on the jacket cover. Instead there was a picture of the piano in the circle under the Ragtime header. Click image for larger version Name:	wilson vol 1.jpg Views:	1 Size:	271.7 KB ID:	39878

Whereas the later issues had the volume number I--III in the circle under Ragtime.

Wonderful music and also is a great set up too. (Listen to the leading transient edge of the piano when setting up your cartridge. Sort of like the old Heliotrope LP that David Shreve of Shreve/Rabco fame used.

It wasn't a reissue. Just two versions of the same release. And not even sure that it's a different matrix number. We'll see.

As far as the sound, we'll find out. I have the original copy coming to compare. If it is actually a different pressing or just different cover. Can't imagine they did too many pressing runs of this album.
