  • Ten Greatest Double Albums in Rock 'n' Roll History

Hardly ever seen today. To be honest, releasing more than one album in a year has gone the way of the doubleheader in baseball.

I can think of a few others that are contenders for the list.
Double albums are always bold statements from artists, and often they can make or break a band.

Can't (and won't) argue about this list as I think it's pretty much bang-on! However, I have a personal favourite in Harmonium - l'heptade that I would have included.

        Delete:
Pink Floyd, Elton John and the Who.

        Add:
        Allman's "Fillmore East"
        Prince "Sign 'O The Times"
        Frampton "Comes Alive!"

        Move:
London Calling should be 1A or 1B, i.e. tied with Exile

Although it's not my favorite PF album, I saw Roger Waters do a "Wall" concert in 2014 and it was one of the best concerts I've seen with surround sound and amazing visuals.

I could easily replace Quadrophenia (don't care for The Who) with George Harrison - All Things Must Pass (3LP however).

WTF????? They put in "Quadrophenia" over "Tommy"? And left off the best rock party album of the 60's Grand Funks Live? Dump "London Colling for the Allmans "Live at the Fillmore East".

There should be separate threads for this....one STUDIO, one LIVE. They are two entirely different disciplines.

Tommy should replace Quadrophenia, and if we keep live albums on the list, then Loggins and Messina On Stage has to fit in somewhere.

Tusk is really good, but not sure if I'd personally include it in a Top 10
                  I can't do Neil Diamond....I've tried, but I can't.
