      I agree the reason most second albums suck is that most bands put all their best songs on the debut album and then suffer writers cramp.

        Different times Mark. Groups back then didn't think twice of doing a recording a year--or even--two or three recordings a year. Plus touring. Today, a group has one hit song and they are superstars.
