Promo Labels

I've posted this link to my old photobucket page on many audio forums over the years. Being that Audionirvana is so music oriented, I figured I'd share a few of the promo labels I've come across in my collection of LP's. These pictures are by no means a complete list, but rather a snapshot of the more common types that I came across when I was attempting to catalog the many thousands of LP's after receiving them. I only got to 585 or so LP's in my database before I gave up the exercise of cataloging.

Do any of you actively collect WLP (white label promo) or other colors/types?

I don't collect promos but may give deference to a promo when a choice is to be made. I've had good luck with Philips classical promos being super quiet.

I have mixed feelings and experiences with promo pressings. Overall, I think it's a crap shoot. For instance, some promos are EQ'd for radio stations and tend to be brighter.

I agree totally. They're not something I seek out....unless of course it comes recommended.

Same here. I think the only WLP I have is LZ III, but not in great shape. ;-(
