      Wasn't 16" vinyl a standard for archiving?
I know Simon Yorke manufactures (maybe 'creates' is a better word) solutions for analogue transcription and playback primarily for 16" platters, but also for 18" and 20" if required.

I knew about the larger broadcast discs eg. that was part of the lead-in to tape but not the vinyl that was picked before it was ripe!

I do. That was main source of music when traveling. I loved those things. I made various cuts cds...just like the cassette days.
