      Wasn't 16" vinyl a standard for archiving?
      I know Simon Yorke manufactures (maybe 'creates' is a better word) solutions for analogue transcription and playback primarily for 16" platters, but also for 18" and 20" if required.

        Transcription tables are still made in the US. Check out the twelve speed model.

          I knew about the larger broadcast discs eg. that was part of the lead-in to tape but not the vinyl that was picked before it was ripe!

          I do. That was main source of music when traveling. I loved those things. I made various cuts cds...just like the cassette days.
