      • The Psychedelic Furs have a new album out - Made Of Rain - first album in 29 years. I feel Shock!! one of my fav bands - on first listen, the new album sounds pretty good and Richards voice is still amazing - can't wait for the vinyl.

in the mean time, its time for a double shot - Midnight to Midnight and the amazing last studio album World Outside from 1991.

        • Swans - leaving meaning. (Qobuz 24/88) I've really never listened to a Swans albums before tonight. But when people whose musical taste I find full of interesting things seem to really like a band (in this case, Dave and Carol Clark) I feel it is in my best interest to take a serious listen. I don't know how I missed them. I thoroughly enjoyed this one, and will now give the rest of their catalog a listen too.

"So loud" is not a selling point for me. I've been wearing earplugs at concerts since I was a teenager. When we saw Stick Men a few years ago, the were averaging between 115 and 120 dB at our seats. Even with earplugs it was uncomfortable.

            • Nick Lowe & His Cowboy Outfit - The Rose of England. A fun LP I picked up a couple years ago for a few bucks, and the only Nick Lowe album I own. What are your favorite Nick Lowe albums?

Thanks, I've had several people recommend Jesus of Cool. I've known about Brinsley Schwartz for many years, but can't say I've ever listened to one of their albums. Time to try one! I always thought of Rockpile as Dave Edmunds, forgot that Nick Lowe was part of it.
