Are you messing with us Myles? Solo looks like an original Jeton D2D pressing with a QRP outer...

How many people know that Getz did not want to do this album Myles. His wife finally talked him into it and he reluctantly gave in. And it was a huge commercial success as we all know.

Never knew that. Thanks for sharing that fact.!

  • Have the original, Analogue Production and now Classic Records versions. Also the 7-1/2 ips 2-track original tape that is a knockout.

    • Find of the night. This LP sat sealed on my shelf for years because another release on the label didn't impress. But this is sensation combo of some swinging jazz, blues and Latin rhythms. With very good, close miked sound. Terrific sound on the bass.

Out of curiosity I gave it a spin; While the music lis just light pop instrumentals sound quality is superb. nm copies sell/ask prices s vary from $250-1000 I paid $25 fpr mine about 30 yrs ago.Even then it was a hundred dollar record. It is easy to spot, a cutting lathe graces the entire front cover

there always was a mystique surrounding S9 "missing link" I have a copy I never play, the music just isn't interesting. I don't know who'd pay $250 I still find them filled under jazz for ~$15, i pass on them every time.
