The 7.5 1/4-track commercial reel of this title is incredible sounding.

I'm sure it is. Best I did in college was copy my LP to a 7 inch reel at 7.5 ips to use with my "portable" system. I no longer have the tape deck, the tape or the LP!

                • Neil Young ‎– Trans - 1982. this needs a vinyl reissue, its never had one. Neil does synth - one of my fav Neil Young albums. Neil was putting his vocals thru a vocoder well before Kanye Sample and Hold is out of this world.

Isnt this the record Neils record company sued him over as not being
                    a "neil young" record?

sort of but not quite -
In November 1983, following the commercial failure of Everybody's Rockin', Geffen sued Young for $3.3 million, on the grounds that this record and its predecessor were "not commercial", and "musically uncharacteristic of [his] previous recordings." Young filed a $21 million countersuit, alleging breach of contract since Young had been promised no creative interference from the label.
Geffen ended up with his tale between his legs and had to apologise publicly. Quite funny actually.
