  • Almost Famous Soundtrack

What's the story with this record ? There is the original issue:

    Classic Records issue

Is it a must for one's collection and listening enjoyment ? I realize these are all tracks from various different artists and their corresponding albums.

Not a must have for me personally, but the CR reissue has 6 songs not on the original release. It also had some movie memorabilia randomly inserted, plus 25 copies signed by Cameron Crowe. It's fetching $600-$1,000 for VG+ copies.
Dynavector DV20x2L MC cartridge - Genesis G7.1f speakers - Marantz Reference PM-KI-Pearl Int. Amp. - Oracle Audio Paris MkV turntable - Various Morrow & Valab/King cables

If it has 6 add'l songs not available elsewhere like Johnny said, its going to bump the resale value.

Classic's reissue of Vanilla Sky OST also commands serious bucks, not sure if this is has add'l material not found on the RBCD. IIRC Myles has it and can comment on its desirability.

The one Classic Record's OST redo that I cant recommend enough is Dead Man Walking, the sonics are superb and the music as well. IMO of course

I remember enjoying the movie almost famous, but don't remember the soundtrack.
