    I think it's a nice touch. I was disappointed when ORG chose to use different, sometimes later covers for their Verve reissues as well as the London instead of the Decca covers for their classical release.

    For example the original La Fille mal Gardee on Decca:

    Interestingly the cover art of the former went downhill with each pressing. By the latest, Phillips pressing, the background had gotten so dark it was hard to separate the people from the background.


    I hated the Chesky covers but they had trouble getting the license to the original covers from RCA. So sometimes that is a mitigating factor.

    One of the things I really like is the fact they used the original flipback covers on The Beatles in MONO. I know it's not overly important as the sound quality is obviously our first concern, but I think it adds a level of authenticity I appreciate.
