    Spirit - Nature's Way


    I can't think of another song before it that addressed this subject. We know that Marvin Gaye touched on it on What's Going On with Mercy Mercy Me and Bruce Cockburn has been one of the most vocal tree-hugger (and anti-war as well) songwriters.
