Actually I think there's a mistake here. I thought the Royal Albert Hall recordings were released by Classic Records a couple of years ago. Or is this a different recording?

The actual title is the REAL Albert Hall recordings

The correct title was pointed out in the piece but the question was about whether it's already been released.

RSD is a ridiculous scam. A number of stores around me have opted out. They were losing boatloads of money. Instead they put out major collection acquisitions and they make a killing.

i already have my itinery set up for early Friday morning.

I remember having to go to FAO Schwartz-the big, glitzy toy store that used to be in the GM Building? on Black Friday to find evidence of some counterfeits--this was when I was a very young lawyer, and doing a lot of litigation involving "licensed" products. At that time, I was also still going out late at night, drinking, etc. (I was young). I was sorely hungover that Friday morning, my head was throbbing, and I walk into this mad crush of people in the store, every conceivable mechanical thing that makes noise was ringing, squawking, blaring or beeping, the kids are screaming and I'm trying to keep it together without throwing up on one of Santa's elves.
Going to a record store on RSD Black Friday reminds me of that....(without the elves).

Remember the concept cars that were in the window of the GM Bldg and the Playboy Club across the street?

Not so sure about the concept cars, since I didn't move to NYC till 1981. I do remember the Playboy Club in NY- I was taken there shortly after I arrived- I think I felt a little out of place- maybe it was the amount of plastic? Don't like plastic in cars or women....

I used to take my ex- there all the time to the Playboy Club on dates and after back in the late '70s. $25 a year for a key membership, could go dancing all night and all had to buy were two drinks. What a deal for a couple of kids just out of school with no money!

Checked out a couple of shops and there was not much in the RSD bins that I was tempted by this year.
to the Gary Clark Jr. - live 10" and a James Brown's Funky People - Part 3 but otherwise, was enjoying the discounts off other in stock LPs. Really happy to have found a copy of the repress (2x12" plus a 10" with etching on one side) of Sigur Ros's Takk. Pricey but beautifully done. These were going for crazy money on the bay before repress and likely will again with this release.
