  • Chris Botti in concert

I went to see Chris Botti last night. For those of you that don't know Mr. Botti, he is a world renowned Jazz trumpet player.

The show was two hours of almost non stop music. Chris did a great job playing and highlighting the talent of the band members.

Highly recommended if he visits your area.

    Thx!
    Mike

Thanks Mike. He always plays for a week or so at The Blue Note NYC in December.

Mr. Botti was the closing act at 2015 Monterrey Jazz Fest. The audience seemed subdued, after 2 1/2 days of mostly terrific performances. And then, about an hour in, the violinist took her solo. Dramatic classical, morphed into Zeppelin's Kashmir. The crowd aroused, stood and roared. Somehow, Botti's reverberated trumpet styling seems saccharine in comparison.
