  • To Those who won music gift certificates, what did you buy?

I was wondering, to those of you who won Elusive Disc music gift certificates from the AN Forum contests, what are you going to buy?

I already placed my order, I bought two Pete Townshend 1/2 Speed Lps "who came first" and "rough mix". I went over budget so I had to come up with a down payment in cash. but I'm really looking forward to those albums.

I looked around yesterday, but haven't decided yet on what to buy. In my case most of the gift certificate will go towards covering the shipping costs to Canada.

JCOConnell, I love those Who & Townshend/Lane albums.

Shopping at an online audiophile record store is a new experience for me, bit of sticker shock but pretty easy to navigate.

I got: Pink Floyd: The Piper At the Gates of Dawn 180g LP, The Peter Ulrich Collaboration: The Painted Caravan CD, David Bowie: No Plan CD, Nick Drake: Made To Love Magic

I've put these in my cart, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'm really tempted to wait for the release of those MFSL 45rpm Dire Straits albums. So we'll see.

The Cranberries - No Need To Argue
        Natalie Imbruglia - Torn
SRV - The Essential Stevie Ray Vaughan
Lightnin' Hopkins - The Blues of LH

Good Score! I forgot about the Pink Floyd reissues but I was determined to get music I didn't already own anyway.

I looked at the PF releases as well, but I can get them cheaper in Canada. On average they seem to be about $25 CDN and they're readily available at my local.
