    I first saw the band in 73 and the last time was a tour in 99. They were a band off and on for more than 40 years and that's the quote you choose?

    Sorry Myles. Loved these guys and am very saddened tonight at the news of J Geils passing.

    Sadly, I never saw JGB in concert, which I greatly regret. But I have many of their studio and live albums, a few of which I'll probably spin today. Geils (the man) was a true "ensemble player." He didn't seem to hog the spotlight musically. Instead, he was a vital cog in one hell of a dynamic music machine! RIP.

      Sad news for sure.....RIP J. Geils

      I remember seeing him in the mid 70's at Winterland......I'll never forget how crazy this concert was, during the concert a guy jumped off the balcony onto the crowed below, I can't believe no one got seriously hurt.....most likely due to many being under the influence
