I cannot take credit for this one.* It is a Portuguese record that would probably be characterized as psych/prog, but more on the folkish side than faux classical formalism or spacey sound department tricks often associated (wrongly in my view) with "prog." There's a little jazz and funk in here too. What's special about this particular release:
All analog.
Reproduction of that old blue/black Columbia label that was in use back in 1969-70 in the UK.
Real 'tip-on' jacket with lot's of extras, including a booklet and cards I haven't looked through yet.
Nice Pallas pressing.
New record, released a couple years ago, and not terribly expensive either by audiophile reissue or collector standards.
I'm not sure if it will change your life, but it may be a change from what you usually listen to.
I think I bought my copy from a vendor on Discogs.
Oh, you want the name of this? Quarteto 1111 - "Quarteto 1111"
______
*The 'buy this' came from Ken Golden, who knows more about prog and obscure psych records than any large library of obscure and infamous records could contain. I bought the record a while ago but hadn't gotten around to it for a variety of good reasons, including that my system was not running 'til about a week ago and the dog ate my test answers.
Just handling this thing kinda puts some of the reissues we usually see to shame.
