A lot of people think this lp is bland. But I think it’s great and the sonics as well ditto.

i know this was an HP superdisc and all, but IMHO its not such a great demo record. The music however is superb. I like Joni's post-folk era when she was gettin' jazzy and experimental. I dont have Ying's redo on 45rpm, i should prollly buy it before it gets stupid expensive.

I got this years ago for next to nothing IIRC at PRE. I tried a couple of other LPs from this label, however, and none came close to the quality of this release. Have you tried other Dragon releases Rob?

Over the years I only collected a handful of Dragons we called it "viking Jazz" being a Swedish label. Arne Domnérus of Jazz at The Pawnshop fame was kinda their house artist. I was gonna say later Dexter Gordon records on Dragon (im a big DG fan) but those were on Steeplechase and Black Lion.

Interesting label. As part of a collection I just took in I got 3 or 4 albums by Mwendo Dawa, all on Dragon Records. Supposed to be fusion. Need to spin them.
