  • Billy Joel At The Garden

Great concert! Walked away with a much greater appreciation of not just how great a songwriter Billy is but his genius at arranging the music.

Myles- do you have Songs in the Attic? It is a live recording produced by Phil Ramone and mixed by Elliot Scheiner, mastered at Sterling. It is a wonderful sounding record (digital recording too). It covers most of the early stuff from Cold Spring Harbor. I'd be surprised if a clean original is more than 10 bucks.
Looks like you had pretty good seats.

I love Billy Joel's music but I am not exactly sure about the man. Since I don't have to live next door to him that's not a big deal but I saw a documentary on Netflix about how Billy treated his original band mates. The documentary made it sound like Billy got a very big head on his shoulders and let go of most of his original band with little to no warning.

One of the original members ended up committing suicide. It was a pretty bad picture of a very talented man. It made him sound like a real $hit.

Life is analog...digital is just samples thereof.

Yes one of Heidi’s co-workers knows one of the fellows in the band and got us tickets. We’re hoping for backstage passes but that didn’t happen. 🤪

I saw him just a couple of years ago when he came to my small town.. he seemed to be enjoying himself which is always a good sign and yes a great concert.
