Saw that when it was first published. Just another reason to despise corporate behavior. Rather than improve product or services, the executives just find new means to bilk the artists and customers and further bloat their already outrageous salaries and compensation.

I've been peeved ever since the advent of the CD at three to four times the price of an LP. The music companies publicly stated that the price would come down to the equivalent of an LP when the costs of the new production equipment was amortized. Of course when they saw the profits from wholesale library replacement that went out the window.

More than happy to haunt the $1.00 record and CD bins as a way of waving my personal finger. Or buying directly from little known artists personal sites that aren't with any big music company.
