And recently a host of others like Harry Edison, Clarke Terry, and Pete Fountain. The beat goes on. I caught a recent trumpet clinic by Doc Severenson on YouTube and he has finally gotten very old. Not playing well and having difficulty keeping his thoughts together. Very frail looking too.
