We own a print of the cover photo "California Kiss" by Elliot Erwitt, one of my favorite photographers!

Quick look and I found these. The Ken Peplowski is stunning sonically but does not push any boundaries. My favorite is the Chano Dominguez.

Yes, I have a few and heard most of them. Niki Parrot seems to be their pet artist, well recorded but i'm not a fan. IMHO the must have title in their catalog is the Archie Shepp True Ballads. run don't walk to your PC and order the vinyl before it goes through the roof again. when it went out of print the first time they were trading for >$100.

Archie's horn sounds as tangible and immediate as any recording I own. the vinyl is spinning in this Quad 57 demo:

I just have one LP from a few years back. It sounds lovely, thought it is Nicki Parrott and not any of the one's you mentioned. It seems they release all their "audiophile LPs" with SACD versions, so it would seem that it would be one or the other - analog recording or hires recording and transferred to one format or the other. They seem to be really high priced, more than Speakers Corner or Pure Pleasure, and even more than the 33 Analogue Productions. Not sure that it is due to Japan import/duty fees or whether the quality of the pressing is that superior.

I've heard several of the groups and performers on their label such as Eric Alexander, Harold Mabern, Joe Farnsworth (all three are regularly at Smoke in NYC) but never picked up their albums. Anyone heard these releases? Are they digital released on vinyl? Saw an interesting release of Tete Montliu done in 1982 in Barcelona on the list albums too that looked interesting.
