kc- you should hook up w/ ken golden who, in addition to being a idiot savant of all things prog, has some amazing stuff in the vein of "spiritual jazz" that he tipped me to- much of it from the early '70s, though some of the records on Strata East were later. One that I really like is Crossings, Herbie Hancock, before Headhunters. He was in his deep African thing.
btw, i'm almost done unpacking the audio stuff, and found at least one of the Double Quad booklets, so I haven't forgotten you. I'm just slow.

nice haul. the Grover Washington is a great record along with all the king's horses. I love the soul jazz albums on Kudu/CTi from that era (fat tone, meaty bass). Many were recorded by da man, RVG himself.
