        Maybe I'm just a contrarian or it's simply the fact that it's become part of the background cultural soundtrack, but KOB is barely a top 5 Miles Davis album for me. I prefer Live at the Blackhawk, Seven Steps to Heaven, Milestones and 'Round About Midnight....

          It was because of KOB that I became a jazz fan instead of the rock fan I'd grown up being. To my ears, it was, is, and always will be the GREATEST jazz album (and dare I say it - greatest album) of all time......
