  • Too Many Tapes.....

Is just enough. Only problem is finding the space to store them!

What’s happening with your tape collection?

Tape storage is a constant battle for me. I don’t want to stop buying them, but man do they eat up shelf space. I generally have them stored in Mapleshade LP racks. I now have *TWENTY* of those! I have room for about 20 more reels, then after that...I dunno...but I will probably figure out something
    TAPE: Studer A807, A810; Revox B77 MkII; Tascam BR-20; Technics RS-1700; Pioneer RT-707, RT-909

I think my purchases from Chad paid for part of that record pressing plant!

Tapes eat up space like it’s going out of style! Plus they cone in all shapes and sizes. Those double reelers from the Tape Project and Acoustic Sounds really chew up shelf space.

I'll gladly sell 4 albums or so to store another tape if it comes to that.

I kept moving stuff from my big bookcase, like my 500 7.5ips 4 track tapes - now in the storage room in boxes! So nothing left there but 10.5" tapes. My bluray collection has been displaced for tapes. Pretty soon it will be records - 4 for one box. But the Per Madsen racks were not built for tape boxes!

I am selling some great Japanese made shelving systems for tapes(or LPs). Each unit holds about 245 10 inch reels. They are adjustable, light and strong. Located in NW Connecticut. There are 3 or possibly 4 available. Please PM me for details. $125/unit. I just sold 1000 reels and don't need them anymore. They are great and better than the Ikea units IME.
