  • New AP tape in for me

I ordered - the Ricki Lee Jones tape before a trip to Atlanta this week. When I arrived at the office there it was waiting for me. I slugged it back to Toronto. Man these are heavy to travel with! First world problems.

I always concern myself with xrays at the airport- I did bring tapes back from AXPONA and no damage detected to my ears. (love to hear more on this)

I will throw this on tonight perhaps - it's been a long week away from home. I put my Atlas cartridge back on the rig before I left and have the ETNA SL on as well now. With all that talk elsewhere on the forum I will compare the AP tape vs. AP album 45rpm on the ETNA and Atlas for a uncontrolled experiment for fun.

After a few plays. Great recording all the way around. There is a difference for me side 1 vs. side 2 in terms of level. I will continue to investigate. I can recommend this tape highly regardless.

It's a great tape. I don't normally like Beatles songs sung by someone else, but her version of For No One did the song justice. I really like that cut.
