  • Dido - No Angel (Classic Records Clarity vinyl)

    Brilliant!

One of the best sounding LPs I own. I think she's a wonderful writer and has a very comforting, pleasing voice and delivery.

Yes...I have both of her releases on Classic Records including the unreleased 45 rpm test pressings. I dig the voice/music and sound quality. Get "Life For Rent" too.

Life For Rent is on my list. Hopefully sooner than later.

I passed it by when the album was released. Guess my loss because every copy I saw on ePay and Discogs was $300+.

Whatever happened to Dido anyway? She's splashed on the scene, released a couple albums and disappeared...

Added an "L" after the "I" to her name and has moved on to a new gig.

Thanks Christian, but I've never paid more than $200 for a single album, which is already enough of a stretch for me. Much like the CR reissue of LZ-ITTOD, this is one for when I come into some unexpected cash.

We'll see what it sells for. My guess is around $400. Cheapest is around $400 on discogs. Insane.

Classic went under before they could issue the Clarity vinyl boxes in large quantity. (not sure if there were some licensing problems too.) Though always wondered why Classic ran off 20 sets of Clarity titles up front. I have a couple from when they were selling the sets on themusic.com before they went the ebay route.
