    This month is the 50th Anniversary of the US release of "Aftermath"

    This month celebrates the 50th anniversary of the US release of The Rolling Stones' "Aftermath" LP, two months after the UK release on April 15, 1966. It is the first LP featuring all original Jagger/Richards compositions and their truly great album. While you lose "Paint It Black", the original UK version is the one you want and includes "Mother's Little Helper" which is omitted from the original US release. Besides you get "Paint It Black" and "Mother's Little Helper" on the essential greatest hits LP "High Tide, Green Grass".

    I have the UK (Decca) version in my mofi Stone box set. Don't have an American pressing.
