  • Sarah McLachlan - Analogue Production reissues.

I have most of the Classic Records reissues, but would like to know how good the AP pressings are. I'm interested in the 45RPM pressings of Afterglow and Solace.

I considered getting Solace (love that LP) but didn't spring for it... yet. Maybe next order...

I have 3 or 4 of these Sarah McLachlan APO 45's.....they suck!

well....maybe not suck....but I prefer the digital mostly. or the earlier 33's I have of the particular albums.

I'm at work now and don't recall exactly which one's I have (mostly because I've only played them once)

I'm a 45rpm completest...and have almost every single 45rpm record ever pressed. but after acquiring the Sarah Mc 45's I have......I did not buy more.

They didn't do much for me. My favorite is The Freedom Sessions and that didn't get reissued. Wintersong was also nice but outside of the holidays, how many times can you listen to it?

BTW, her Shine On album was unlistenable. Unbearably bad sounding. The engineer (s) must have been stone deaf. So bad I threw it away.

Of the AP/QRP 45 RPM reissues, I only have Mirrorball, which sounds really good to me. I don't have that in an earlier pressing so I don't know how it compares.

Thanks to all for your impressions! I'm a bit surprised about the lack of enthusiasm for these as AP has such a good, if not great, rep. I think I'll pass on these 45RPM's.

Maybe I need to rethink this as we have some opposing views expressed. Afterglow is the only Classic I don't have......ok, I don't have Wintersong either, but that doesn't interest me.

I have solace 45 rpm.. Sounds great ! I'm not motivated to replace the rest of her records though that I have with Classic Records.
