where'd you find her? she cooks! There's a lady up north, Alexis P. Suter, who is a monster singer-big gal- she doesn't need a mike- sings a style of gospel tinged hard driving blues. Check out her rendition of 'Not My Cross to Bear' (the band is solid too). When I used to see her at a little club in NY, she'd be wearing a top hat- she's probably close to 6 ft 3, she looked like a voodoo priestess.

She (Joanna Conner) has been playing for years up around the Chicago/Midwest area. It's been more than a few years since I saw her live and it's nice to see she still has attitude. Another example of very talented regional artists that don't get traction elsewhere. And all that attitude too.
