  • 1969 - Led Zeppelin rocks onto the charts with LZ1 & LZ2 in the Top 10!

What a year! In addition to LZ we have another Beatles album topping the charts, King Crimson with ITCOTCK and The Who's Tommy! Going a little further down the list you'll find Chicago Transit Authority and 3 CCR albums. And there are many more.

I have 7 out of 10, but many more further down the list.

I don't remember that Nick Drake album. Not that it means anything.

Do NOT own Velvet Underground, Captain Beefheart, The Band or Nick Drake. Mediocre at best.

JC - Different stokes and all, I've never liked The Band and did care for the country alt rock movement in general.

              ‚ÄčAt heart I'm pretty much a rocker.

Yes, there is no accounting for tastes. The Band is one of my favorite groups.

April top 40. Who can forget the soundtrack to Hair?

The hippie counterculture musical Hair was a Broadway smash with 2 huge singles this week. Also in the Top 10: The Zombies and Blood, Sweat & Tears
