I can't say the same, but it was a decent year. It's not so much reflected in my collection however.

    Top 10 - 5
    Top 25 - 9
    Top 50 - 15

I had to get to #30, Little Feat's "Waiting for Columbus", to find an album I like. I have a song or two from many of the other top 30 but the list doesn't compare with the late 1960s and the early 1970s.

It may all depend on what years you were in college.
Thiel 7.2s, Manley NeoClassic 250s, Wadia 850, MIT Oracle V3 speaker cables, MIT MI-350 Oracle interconnects, Black Diamond Racing Shelves and Cones in a dedicated room with ASC Tube Traps, Room Tunes and 3 X 20 amp dedicated circuits.

        Really....#30? That's a bit...no, a lot of a surprise.

Like I said, I always THOUGHT 1978 was the best year ever, so many of my favorite bands put out a good record that year, but after reviewing the facts, I was wrong. 1971 is stronger.

Gad to go down to the Who at number 50 to find something really stout. I still view 1969 s the watershed year in rock.

No, '69 was the best year in American Cars.

I always lusted after a friends loaded '68 440 Magnum Charger RT, liked the round taillights better than the '69s bar taillights. Blue with white RT stripes, black vinyl roof and a white interior. The lines of the body were positively elegant.

This of course, brings up the question, what about '70? Well I looked it over and its very good but not in the same class as '69 or '71 IMHO.

Looking at the top 20, I'd say yeah it was a good year. Best ever - who knows.

This Year's Model - an awesome album
The Cars - solid, at #5 surprised it was as high as it was
Some Girls - Love n hope n sex n dreams ... sha oobie
The Man-Machine - surprised to see it on the list, great album von den KlingKlangers
All Mod Cons - nice to see this one on the list, could be Paul Wellers best
Outlandos D'Amour - expected it to be higher than #15

1970, the year I was born. One of the weakest. I think the artists were on break

While not the greatest, its not bad either, I wouldn't call it one of the weakest.

Really Jack? I think 15 of the top 20 for '70 are great! And roughly half of the next 20 would also be in my collection (if I had them ).
