  • Equipment Covers

Covering and keeping those hair out of your equipment and is a no brainer for pet owners. But covers aren't not just limited to pet owners: every audiophile really needs to keep that everyday dust, dirt and grime out of those "open" architecture pieces of gear. One very reasonably priced solution that I found years ago are the custom-made HVM covers. The HVM covers are custom-made out of duck canvas for each component; plus the covers come embroidered with the gear's name. I had a nice cover made for my reel-to-reel deck and a pair for my ART amplifiers.

What else does everyone use for their gear?

Myles - The only thing I consider covers indispensable for are turntables. Found one for my Well Tempered, the rest came so equipped.

Given the operating temperature of tubes dust would be of definite concern. Maybe a copper fine mesh Faraday cage? Used to see such things for security purposes and the mesh was fine enough most dust wouldn't get in.
