I've used it. I know ARC uses it. For contact cleaning (rca xlr spades, plugs, etc.) I tend to prefer Kontak, but I have no experience of Deoxit as other than hippocratic.. Another product / topic (like record cleaning) that breeds postings. :-)

Used it on industrial electronics for years. The stuff really worked on edge connected circuit cards and multi=pin connectors, crud would just slough off. When I found the less than industrial size packaging I started using the cleaner and the conditioner at home. Since I always kept my stuff lean anyhow using inhibited methyl chloroform it didn't make much of a difference. Note that the conditioner is not meant for high voltage circuits which IIRC is stated on the packaging..

Working and sonics are though two different things.

Did anyone try diluting before using?

DeoxIT has diluted formulas available. I keep some faderlube (for carbon contacts) D (5% spray and 100% liquid) and a survival kit around. The D5 spray is really a technician in a can for vintage electronics. Cleaning everything can help the system, even power plugs.

I find the D5 the best to use overall. You must be careful with Phenolic wafers on switches, if you spray on the wafers they can become conductive and cause all sorts of other problems. On these type connections I use a needle dropper for precise dispensing.

I use a fiberglass pencil on tube pins followed by an alcohol wipe then a shop towel "lightly" saturated with D5 to wipe the pins and then dry them off again with another lint free shop towel. Always a shocker in detail, resolution and elimination of noise with this procedure on all connections and tube pins.

Has anyone used Stabilant 22? -- I am going to have to try it. Formerly known as tweek in the 80's. I'm not sure if its properties have changed since then.

Canada's own Michael Dayton Wright is the inventor.. he still markets it for industry. I recall reading his bio in the the past - his education was in Chemistry and Physics at MIT. Some interesting tests on his website for efficacy.

I think you need to dilute Stabilant. I wrote about it decades ago and if IIRC is a mixture of polyoxyethylene and propylene. My issue is that Tweek turned into an oily, dark mess after a couple of weeks. I just bought cleaned it off. I think Kontak still has a little Tweak in the solution?

Why do I think John Curl was also involved in the product's development too? But I might be mistaken too.

Well I have the audience cables in for review and they suggest cleaning contacts with it.
