The bad thing is that it costs almost as much as the machine!

Visited KLaudio yesterday and had lunch. Thier UT cleaner is getting lots of attention in Japan with one of the reviewers from the Stereo Sound magazine using it openly. Not too surprisingly, most of the changers are bought by LP stores. Peter tells me some of them are cleaning LPs 24 hours a day. Interestingly the machines are holding up to the heavy uses and the LP stores have requested for continuous water flow system to go with the changer so that they won't have to exchange the water. Now that's lazy if you ask me.

Sure did. They had been working on that for a while. Great for someone, a stores or an institution with a whole ton of records,

Maybe MikeL can jump in here too. I think some of the differences betwenn the original AD and KLaudio are directly traceable to one using a surfactant in the water and one using just pure water. I remember MikeL talking about how he reduced the additive to the AD with good results. I think if you look on the net, you'll see that people had issues with AD reliabiliy so it will be interesting if they have better Q/C in the new version.

Jay, if you would post photos of your Redpoint Model D, I'll tell you which one.

I think AD is coming out with a new model soon, so the current model is discounted somewhat. But they did have reliability problems. The KL is built like a tank and worked reliably for me from day 1.

buy audio desk at your own risk. I wouldn't recommend it even if discounted 70%. Out of the 7 units brought in by my country distributor 5 developed problems within 3 months. took a long while to repair. when mine developed problem the 2nd time, AD owner , Reiner don't even bother to acknowledge distributor or my email. So I decided to test him by enquiring abt 10 unit purchase. My email was acknowledged within 1-2 hours where else my repeated email over months enquiring about repair was intentionally ignored. Such manufacturer shouldn't be supported at all

other than my gripe about the poorly supported & unreliable AD, I highly recommend ultrasonic cleaner for LP cleaning duty. I have 2 other RCM ie Loricraft & VPI 17f. Nothing beat ultrasonic cleaner for its convenience . Probably time to buy KL audio . So far have not heard any complaint abt this brand

I traded mine in so I can try another machine, but the KL was 100% reliable for the time I used it. No issues.
