              Good luck removing the old PRC stickers no matter what method you try. Thankfully, they switched to stickers that can be removed without trashing the album cover.

                Great thread Myles.
                Bags Unlimited is my go-to source for media storage, and repair supplies. They were very helpful in helping me repair about 30 Acoustic Sounds / Fantasy 45RPM record jackets that were not properly glued, and when I opened them for the first time, just fell apart. Since Acoustic Sounds no longer had stock of the jackets I had no choice but to repair them myself.

                    A great accessory/resource for bidding on records smarter. For those that don't know... Popsike is a searchable database of eBay record auctions that have occurred in the past for various record titles. You can see the hi, low, mean price for any given record along with a grouping of various price points. Requires a membership...but worth it. This way you know what your up against when you bid for a record. It has been invaluable for my recent aquistion quest/binge of Shaded Dog, Decca UK, EMI - Columbia and ASD record acquisitions.

                        I was reading somewhere that IKEA is still making record cabinets though you have to be a masochist to buy any of their products.

                        My solution was buying record storage units from Gothic Cabinet Craft in NY. Not as good as my custom cabinets but sturdy enough to hold up over time and hold a lot of records.

                          Been using IKEA units for over 10 years and have never had a problem. I can't afford to buy or have custom-cabinets made, so they're a wonderful alternative solution.

                        I've been to shows where dealers priced albums on the spot using popsike. Luckily the last time worked in my favor and got five, early pressings, unplayed DuPre organ on Mercury for $10 each.

                          the Dupre was always one of my favorite living presence records, I missed the boat on the Speakers Corner reboot and now i can find a copy to save my life. anyone compare the Widor orig press against the speakers corner?

                        I love a good challenge, I bet I can get it off i've been using Ronsonol (from a squeeze bottle) for decades and haven't met a sticker of any kind I couldn't remove, even stubborn ones stuck to the record label (almost always guaranteed to tear the paper).
